This cake will be a real treat for chocolate and coffee lovers like me…………..both chocolate and coffee are my favs…………..this cake I made for my small one’s birthday……the taste of chocolate and coffee was hmmmmmmmm………Now we’ll enjoy the chocolate coffee cake……
½ c Butter room temp
2c Icing sugar
½ c Cocoa powder
1tsp Coffee powder
¼ c Milk
Salt
For Decorating:
2 Sacthets dreamwhip powder
¼ c Cold milk
Ingredients:
2c All purpose flour
1c Powdered sugar
2tsp Baking powder
1tsp Vanilla essence
2 Eggs room temp
1c Butter room temp
½ c Cocoa powder
2tsp Coffee powder
½ c Warm water
For Icing:
2c All purpose flour
1c Powdered sugar
2tsp Baking powder
1tsp Vanilla essence
2 Eggs room temp
1c Butter room temp
½ c Cocoa powder
2tsp Coffee powder
½ c Warm water
For Icing:
½ c Butter room temp
2c Icing sugar
½ c Cocoa powder
1tsp Coffee powder
¼ c Milk
Salt
For Decorating:
2 Sacthets dreamwhip powder
¼ c Cold milk
Method:
1.Seive flour,baking powder and cocoa powder.
2.In a bowl mix butter and sugar and beat well.
3.Now add eggs one by one and beat well after each addition of egg.
4.Add vanilla essence and beat well.
5.Add the flour mixture and fold in with wooden spoon.
6.Mix coffee powder in warm water and add this coffee mixture into the flour mixture slowly.
7.Mix well .
8.Grease a cake tin and pour the batter ti the tin.
9.Preheat the oven at 200 degree C for 15 mins.
10.Bake this cake at 165 degree for 40 to 45 mins.
11.For icing mix butter,icing sugar ,cocoa powder and coffee powder and beat well.
12.Add milk little and a pinch so salt and make this to a spreading consistency.
13.Now after baking the cake allow the cake to cool completely.
14.Now cut the cake into two parts.
15.Spread a layer of icing in one portion and close with the other part.
16.Spread the rest on top and sides of the cake.
17.Keep this in fridge and let it set.
18.In a bowl beat dreamwhip and cold milk and beat well till fluffy.
19.When the cake is set decorate the cake with dreamwhip.
20.Enjoy a piece of sliced cake……….
