Chilly Chicken (Kerala Style)

This is a simple dish……….in my childhood days when we go to any Indian restaurant we used to get like this style chilly chicken when we order this. After having Chinese chilly chicken I understood there are other styles too……….so I thought I’ll make the simplest form and it is so easy too……..

Ingredients:

1kg Chicken shredded
1 Big onion
1 Tomato
5Cloves Garlic
1 Medium piece ginger
½ tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Red chilly powder
½ tsp Garam masala powder
½ tsp Coriander powder
2 Green chillies
Salt
Oil
Curry leaves

Method:

1.If using full chicken boil it and shred it without bones or use boneless chicken.
2.Now in a pan heat oil sauté chopped onions and curry leaves.
3.When it turns pink in color add the ginger garlic paste and mix well.
4.Now add the red chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder and sauté well.
5.Now add chopped tomatoes and mix well.
6.Now add shredded chicken and mix well till it is crispy and dry.
7.Off flame and serve hot. This can be used as filling for sandwich.

This goes to akheela's event DNSW:C and ayeesha's event any one can cook
